Our part of the Costa Blanca

From the South, at Benidorm take the CV 70 road to La Nucia, Polop and Callosa D'En Sarria.  This road is well signposted from the N 322 main coast road or the A7 Motorway (Junction 64 sounds familiar).
Continue straight on over numerous roundabouts (I lose count) to La Nucia, then beware the speed bumps through the town (respect the speed limit).  Onward to Polop on the same road, then switch to CV 715 leaving Polop and it is a short swoop across the Guadalest river valley into Callosa.
From the North, an alternative road is CV 755 from Altea la Vella direct to Callosa
(Juction 65 on the A7)
Both roads meet at the roundabout called the Plaza de Quatre Carreteres in Callosa, which is a little confusing if you speak French, because the four roads are actually five at this fountain, and we want the fifth one !

From the fountain, continue northwards up the hill (one way street) into the old town, a short distance to the open plaza on your right. The road straight ahead is then a no entry, so you must turn right (signposted Colegio Almedia) and continue climbing up and over the hill, passing a park and children's playground on your right. Watch out for the cunningly disguised speed bumps !
At the crossroads, pause then continue up the hill.  Over the top, the college is on your right, and a large water pipe crosses the road overhead.
Now you are clear of the town and just 3 kilometres from the house.
Follow this road for just under 2 km, glimpsing the house every now and then as you go.
Pass the two roads branching off to the left into the Almedia urbanisation.  On the next left bend after the second left branch (still with me?), turn right at the 30kph sign (rather battered) onto a single track road diving down into the valley.
1.2km to go, and now it gets exciting.
Down the valley side, follow the curves ignoring all side turnings, up the other side, and the road will eventually bring you right to the house.  Along the way you will occasionally see the four arches of the house getting ever closer, until one last spurt will bring you to the roadside garage.
Welcome.
